EarthKAM at TMSC

These photos are Talcott Mountain's images from the EarthKAM project - a Nikon digital camera mounted in the International Space Station.  Students pick the area, the location, find the GPS coordinates, check to see if the site is in daylight, upload the data and download the pictures.  Click the images for full-size versions.

Mid-Atlantic ocean.  All of the Atlantic / Africa pictures are part of a study to watch the development of storms as they cross the Atlantic.  You can see the bright cloud tops as the sun rises and illuminates the highest points first.
